Nutrition Energetics
Food is Energy. We are energy.
Nutrition is information in the form of energy.
My Approach to Nutrition is based on fact that we are a part of Nature, not separate from it. The same principals that apply to nature apply to us. We consist of the same elements that make up everything in the Natural world. When we learn more about our unique elemental natures of our bodies and the elemental nature of different foods, we can learn to choose foods and spice and prepare them in a way that harmonizes with our constitutional needs, deeply nourishes us, and at the same time is kind to the planet. I have an Ayurvedic background and have had the great honor of learning and studying Kitchen Wisdom and Food Medicines around the world. Food is energy and who we eat with and how the food is prepared greatly effects its energetics.

The Industrialization of Farming and Food Systems are quickly changing the nature of food. The use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and glyphosates annihilate to microbial Life that enliven our soils and the health, vitality, nutrient and mineral content of the foods become drastically diminished. Organic Farmers and Gardeners know that we cannot grow food unless we first grow our soil. We also have to grow the diverse “soil” in our gut. It is the biodiverse abundance of microbes in our soils and our guts that actually create the nutrients our bodies need to thrive. Not only is food grown in lifeless soil void of flavor, it is void of nutrients and simply not able to support biological life. Thus the supplement industry.
I am a nutrition educator. I teach people how to understand , read and nourish their bodies. Sometimes the language the body uses is a symptom. I help people untangle their symptoms and become fluent in their body signals and needs. I am well versed in most diet philosophies such as Paleo, Keto, Intermittent Fasting, Elimination protocols and so on.
In 30 years of working in this field, I believe that there is no one way, and that the more we know ourselves and our body we can demystify different “diets” and find a way of eating that is effortlessly intuitive.
